The Decameron Reading Repsonse

As I continue to read The Decameron, Im realizing that the tales seem real similar to one another and there is a major theme of deception. While I in person find the tales entertaining and funny, I find myself questioning the characters. argon they seriously as ignorant and naïve as they progress or argon they just that round-eyed? I derive if the characters were naïve, you would be able to somewhat excuse them because of the quantify period and the events going on. But then I respect; sound maybe the times arent that different in comparison to bring in day. There are appease naïve and close-minded people everywhere, which will probably be the persona until the end of time. I guess thats what Im noticing more than ever as I read The Decameron. So many of the events and characters can be related back to the present and how we currently live. Among many other things, there is deception, greed, adultery, scandal, corrupt beliefs, and simple-minded people all around us. However, one could very well argue the other side of it. Some of the characters seem very sharp-witted in the way they go about being deceitful. How are they so quick on their feet with coming up with plans and excuses?
